Tour Description

The David Scott Trail is a historic and scenic trekking route in Meghalaya, originally used by British administrator David Scott in the 1800s. This 16 km trail winds through lush forests, river streams, and picturesque valleys, offering a perfect blend of adventure and nature. Trek through charming Khasi villages, cross ancient stone bridges, and experience the serenity of the Eastern Himalayas.

  • Early morning drive to Mawphlang, the starting point of the David Scott Trail.
  • Begin the trek through scenic meadows and dense forests.
  • Cross a historic stone bridge built during the British era.
  • Enjoy packed lunch by a serene riverside.
  • Pass through small Khasi villages and witness their traditional lifestyle.
  • Reach Lad Mawphlang, the endpoint of the trek, and drive back to Shillong.
  • Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 3Departure from Shillong

  • Enjoy a relaxed morning in Shillong.
  • Visit Ward’s Lake or Don Bosco Museum (optional).
